ENIG’s first project with Edgley Construction Group, Inc. (“EDGLEY”) was in 2009, on the company’s first secure facility build-out in Bethesda. “For this new facility project, as a full service design/build team, EDGLEY squarely hit the mark”, noted ENIG President, Eric N. From the beginning, ENIG had access to a seasoned management team that understood our objective, well-versed regarding our stringent security requirements.”
The contract with EDGLEY included demolition of all interior infrastructure, high-end office build-out with stringent acoustical requirements, and major upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems within a single story space in downtown Bethesda, Maryland. Slated for six weeks of construction, EDGLEY worked with ENIG’s design team to anticipate all long-lead time elements for the project, avoiding costly delays, and coming in ahead of schedule and on budget.
In addition to the buildout, ENIG awarded multiple contracts to TYCO Integrated Systems (“TYCO”) for integrated security solutions. “As a leading government facility security contractor, TYCO is able to support ENIG’s security needs, offering an array of solutions to help enhance our security operations. ENIG sought a comprehensive and customized solution, and TYCO stepped up with an end-to-end integrated industrial security solution, which could be customized per our requirements”, said Enig.
